Woodfold's Series 4188 is ideal for applications in offices, churches, restaurants, daycare and assisted living facilities where enhanced sound control is desired, along with the flexibility and convenience of an accordion-style partition that features solid panels.

As with every Woodfold custom accordion door, the Series 4188 is made to exactly fit your opening, which means no trimming to fit. It is entirely top suspended with no requirement for floor clips or pivots. To meet the needs of any installation, Woodfold also offers a variety of options including locks, latches and the selection of alternate finish materials on each door face.

8" dual-wall doors for enhanced sound transmission control and great looks:
Utilizing our widest 8"panel, the Series 4188 is perimeter-sealed and acoustic-lined for enhanced sound isolation. Matching dual-wall construction with the proven durability of a steel hardware hinge system and larger 8" rigid body panels, the Series 4188 also conveniently allows the selection of six attractive vinyl laminate finish materials on each door face.

Field Sound Transmission Class:
The dual-walled Series 4188 Acoustical Partition has a field sound transmission class (FSTC) rating of 41. Field tests were performed by Acoustical Engineer Inc. of Eugene, Oregon following the procedures specified in ASTM Test Designation: E336-96

Product Specifications

• Panels: 8” wide by 1⁄2" thick medium density fiberboard with routed edge for vinyl hinging.
• Hinge assembly: 16 gauge steel, pantograph action for dualwall door assembly.
• Panel Connectors: Flexible vinyl, color-coordinated to panel selection, inserted and attached into routed edges. 4 color coordinated colors.
• Track: 2” x 1-1/4” aluminum, pre-punched for screw fasteners for surface mounting.
• Sound Seal: Dual-wall door with internal acoustic material, flexible vinyl sweep strips mounted on top and bottom of the door. Wood molding mounted on both sides of track forming a wide sweep surface.
• Acoustical liner: Applied to inside faces of both walls.
• Wheels: Nylon-tired steel ball bearing wheels; 4 wheeled carriers on each volute and at lead post.
• Lead Post: Extruded aluminum, with jamb molding. Color-coordinated to panel connectors.
• Jamb Molding: 2-1/8” wide by 15/16” deep aluminum.
• Handle: Metal, Bronze or Brushed Satin chrome.
• Latch: Deadlatch with thumbturn two-sides/one side and a range of keylock options available. Bronze or Satin chrome finishes.
• Width: Max size of a single partition - 150 sq ft.

Installation

Doors that are larger than 80 square feet are going to be supplied in two section due to weight, if your door is over 80 square feet you will be required to have your disposal the use of a crown stapler to secure the two sections together. We recommend the use of a 1/2 inch crown stapler but a 1/4 inch crown stapler will also work.

How To Measure Your Door

Width of Door - Measure the width at the bottom, halfway up and at the top of the door and use the widest dimension you have. NOTE:  IF THE WIDEST DIMENSION IS AT THE BOTTOM OR CENTER YOU MAY HAVE TO TRIM THE SUSPENSION TRACK TO FIT YOUR OPENING AT THE TOP OF THE DOOR AS TRACK LENGTHS ARE MADE TO THE ORDERING WIDTH. This can be done with a hacksaw.

Height of Door - Measure from the top of the finished floor to the point where you are going to attach the track. Measure at 3 different points across the width of the opening and use the tightest dimension you have. Note: If this dimension differs more than 1/2" across the opening call to discuss how to arrive at an acceptable dimension.

All item(s) are custom made to order, it takes 24-48 hours for order processing, manufacturing time is 10 working days (2 weeks including weekends), lead times are subject to change without notice. Current lead time for the 4188 with standard factory finish is 6 weeks. Please allow 7-10 days for item(s) to arrive once shipped, we will advise tracking numbers as soon as the item(s) leave the manufacturing facility. This results in approximately 3 1/2 to 4 weeks until you receive your order. If items are custom stained or painted extended lead times are required, usually an additional 2 weeks after approval of submitted samples.

Free Shipping in the Continental United States. All over weight or large accordion doors are shipped via common carrier and are TAILGATE DELIVERY. This means that that the trucker will arrive in a large over the road truck and bring the crate to the tail end of his truck, it is your responsibility to remove the item from his truck.

Custom made products such as accordion doors, elevator doors, roll-up doors and shutters are custom-made to size and manufactured to your specifications. No refunds or exchanges are possible. Orders placed with standard lead-times allow 3 business days for changes to be made by contacting the manufacturer.

Orders that require custom material, logos or paints/stains cannot be cancelled or changed after ordered.

Rush orders cannot be changed or cancelled after the next business day. Once your acknowledgement is received with a ship date there are no returns.
